Hush (2016) 1080p WEBRip x264 The body of a young woman is found buried in her family's backyard. Identified through DNA as Alice Guzman, the victim had gone missing weeks earlier. As leads come to nothing, so does hope for justice. But when eighteen-year-old Thomas Mackey has his life threatened by an anonymous phone call, he realizes that the killer isn't finished yet. Hush is the story of Thomas "Mac" Mackey, a widow's son who works at an ice cream shop in his hometown of Haverford. After the death of his wife, Alice, he was unable to deal with her body or their home. The only thing that remained was the bookstore that Alice owned. On Alice's birthday, her friend calls him up just before he leaves for work. When he returns to the bookstore after being the victim of a hit-and-run accident, he goes to check on his father (who has suffered a heart attack). While in the store's basement, he discovers a dead body. When the police arrive, he claims it to be Alice. Hushed comes after Thomas "Mac" Mackey has to deal with the life of his late wife's sister, who is in search to find justice even though she was given no chance to speak for herself.The film received positive reviews from critics, despite being compared for its "darkly funny tone". Rotten Tomatoes reports that 98% of critics gave the film a positive review based on 11 reviews, with an average rating of 8.3/10. Metacritic reported an 80 out of 100 based on 6 reviews indicating "generally favorable reviews". "Hush" was awarded the "American Film Institute's Movie of the Week" on June 10, 2016.The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 18, 2016. The film was released in theaters on August 11, 2016. On August 31, 2016 it was released for streaming on Netflix. On December 2, 2016 it was added to DVD/Blu-ray by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in all regions.
